RESIDENT RIGHTS
Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center has established written policies regarding the rights of the residents and a copy of the rights is provided to the resident or legally responsible party with proper explanation upon admission. A Human Rights Committee and Resident Advocates are available to assist Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center management and staff to ensure that resident rights are protected and that resident rights are not violated. 

APPLIANCES
Residents are allowed to bring their own appliances such as radios and televisions. However, these items must be checked and labeled by the Plant Operations Department to ensure their proper identification and safe keeping. 

RELEASE OF INFORMATION
The release of resident information is not permitted unless it is authorized in writing by the resident or the resident’s legally responsible representative. All information concerning residents is treated in a confidential manner and all requests for such information are to be referred to the Director of Information Management.

VISITORS
Family members, relatives and friends may visit at any time. Children are allowed to visit when accompanied by an adult but they cannot be left unattended at any time.

 

 

 

CERTIFICATION
The Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is certified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, CMS for participation in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs.
