CHARGES
Because Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is a non-profit institution operated by the State of North Carolina, charges are based on an all-inclusive daily rate for care and treatment. This practice is different than most nursing care facilities that itemize charges. However, no person otherwise qualified for admission will be denied admission because of inability to pay for services.

ADMISSIONS
Admissions are received in two ways: 1) Adults with severe and persistent mental illness that also have long-term medical conditions requiring residential, medical and nursing care, admitted solely from the State psychiatric hospitals: and 2) Adults with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or other related dementia who are not bed bound and have assaultive and combative behavior that has resulted in denial of care in a traditional nursing home setting and reside in the eastern half of the State. Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is not intended to serve as a substitute for placement of any client in a community nursing care facility. All persons otherwise qualified for admission shall not be rejected based on their race, color, national origin, religion or ability to pay.
