RESIDENT PERSONAL FUNDS AND VALUABLES
Provisions are made through the Center’s Reimbursement Office for residents to open personal accounts. Individual accounts are maintained and money is dispensed as needed for the personal needs of the residents. Valuables may be kept in the facility vault. Families and visitors should leave any personal monies for residents at the Cashier’s Office where a receipt is issued. Residents are encouraged to keep only small amounts of money in their possession. 

CANTEEN
For the convenience of residents, visitors and staff, a canteen is available and offers hot and cold drinks, candy, sandwiches and other snack foods.

VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center offers a variety of volunteer activities and encourages the involvement of individuals and groups to participate in enhancing the lives of the residents.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
The Information Management Department maintains and safeguards all resident records. It serves as the clearinghouse for gathering and dispersing resident information.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Educational opportunities, via pre-service and ongoing in-service training programs, are important to the development and maintenance of quality staff. The Staff Development Department is continually identifying development needs of the staff at the Center and coordinates the delivery of needed training.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center provides the necessary equipment and personnel to ensure that the interior of buildings is maintained in a safe, clean and attractive manner.

 

TRANSPORTATION
Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center maintains ambulance service for use in transporting residents to Wilson Medical Center and to other health care facilities. Transportation is also provided by the Wilson County Emergency Medical Services for emergencies.

BARBER AND BEAUTICIAN
A Barber and a Beautician provide services to the Center on a monthly basis. Appointments are made through the Nursing Department.

CHAPEL
A small chapel is located in the Center for use by residents and their families. Devotional services are held weekly.

PLANT OPERATIONS
The Plant Operations Department is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the building and grounds at all times. The department is also responsible for inspecting all equipment on a regular basis and for performing preventative maintenance as necessary.

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
An effective system of quality improvement is vital to the operation of the Center to ensure the highest level of care possible to the residents. Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center continually monitors the quality of service provisions and seeks the input of the residents and their families to improve the quality of life of each of the residents.
